Her Healing Ways

Unafraid, Unconventional, Unwelcome

A female physician with an adopted black daughter? The townsfolk of Idaho Bend will never accept Dr. Mercy Gabriel—even when faced with a deadly cholera epidemic. But all Mercy needs is one man willing to listen…and to trust.

Four years of war command turned Lon Mackey into a footloose gambler who can't abide attachments. Yet he can't help getting riled by the threats Mercy keeps receiving. Her trailblazing courage could reignite his faith and humanity. And his loyalty could make her dream—for the first time—of a family of her own….

I would also like to nominate my best friend Helen Ferrara. I met Helen over 30 years ago and her friendship has seen me through many highs and lows. She is a strong woman who doesn't take credit for raising 3 children and taking in her grandchildren during tough times. She is a good Christian woman who loves to read. My email address is marchettod(at)bellsouth(dot)net.

I want to nominate my mother, Jan. She has overcome so many obstacles in her life. She has survived physical adversity as well as many other challenges. No matter what, she has a positive attitude. She lost her best friend of over 40 years this year and it has been difficult for her and yet she is willing to encourage me. My email address is authorkathyeberly@gmail.com

I want to nominate my daughter Sabrina. She has put so much of her life on hold to help me the last three years since her father became diabled. I know the Lord would have provided a way otherwise if necessary for me to have help. But He has used her and she has helped so willingly. She is such an example to me of selflessness. She loves your books and it would be a real treat for her to win one.
